your persecutors. Pray for those you dislike with love.
As you interact in praying to Me for them, you receive
My love and live out the action of My
transforming love. It is you who must change first.

beyond being preoccupied with yourself to be free to
pray for the needs of others. I love that you seek Me
day after day with a humble and contrite heart.

Thursday after Ash Wednesday

Entrust your cares to Me your Lord and I will support
you. I hear your voice as you lift up your prayers.
Obey My commands. Walk in My ways with love and
you will live. My child, love Me. Heed My voice and hold
fast the words I speak. Delight in My law and meditate
on it day and night. Deny yourself, take up your cross
and follow Me. I am your rock, your strength, your
salvation. In Me your soul is at rest.

Ash Wednesday

I am your merciful Lord. Come back to Me.
Hear My voice and harden not your heart.
Proclaim a fast and be of self-restraint. Be gracious,
slow to anger, and rich in kindness. You must repent
and ask for forgiveness for the evil done in My sight.
Then I will create for you a clean heart.
Give alms, pray, and fast with joy and humility.
Seek the wisdom of heart
found in self-sacrifice this Lent.
